"Eco Winter"
As you know, I am still on house arrest due to my recovery from surgery so I wanted to post some photos that I took a little bit ago at this time (hence the Christmas Tree in the background). I love this designer/store I met on a recent trip to Toronto by the name of KooCoo Carrillo. Her Designs are eco-friendly which I highly support especially being a Pescetarian, Rescue Animal owning, non fur wearing woman.
If you are not in the Toronto area, her designs are available online here KooCoo Carrillo.

"G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S"
Well, I have been a little MIA from the blog because I just had pelviscopy surgery last week. I had been having pain in my lower abdomen for about a year and a half; and after numerous cat-scans and ultrasounds, this was a last resort. I call this post "glamorous" because it is not, lol. I think it's important for me to be totally real and update my readers on what is happening and not just a "filtered" life, pun intended. I am still resting at home and in some discomfort but I know this small amount of pain and slow healing will be all worth it to overcome the pain I was in before. The surgery burned off some endometriosis and removed cysts I had on my right ovary. I thought I would love this down time but someone can only take so much Sex and the City, New Girl, and Portlandia. Actually I am feeling more inspired than ever and can't wait for this healing to speed up. If you see a fashion post in the next couple of days where I have a perfect blowout and makeup, don't be deceived by that one I may still actually be in bed as I stocked some previous shoots up for this bed rest time, but I will be back in no time! thanks for reading.

"Up Close"
I want this to be the first of many strictly jewelry posts. I love jewelry so much and sometimes it can get neglected in a blog post with an entire look. I would like to start focusing on the jewelry pieces separate and together sometimes so you can see how beautiful they are. I was inspired by a spread in this months issue of Vogue Featuring one of my favorite musicians FKA Twigs, if you haven't seen it you should check it out its gorgeous.

"Murmer"
I think sometimes we get caught up in another aspect of a fictitious reality in this blogging world, because of the fashion and beauty facets that are some of the main factors we like to write about. I for one am very guilty of this, we portray even our own selves as a certain type of person, and you may think you know me but it's only from what is shared. Everyone's perspective of people is only how much they are let in. I'd like to open up and be real for a moment to share about my anxiety I have struggled with since being a very young girl. I don't want to share too much because it's hard for me to open up about it and "go there" myself; but I have obsessive compulsive disorder, a pretty serious case that I used to struggle with a lot in my younger years, and social anxiety. These This video I shot with the incredible film maker Naz based in Toronto was meant as an artistic piece for the blog, but became something even more beautiful to me, and allowed me to open up and write, even this much about this piece. I used to be on medication for my OCD because sometimes it can become quite debilitating, with feeling the need to repeat things a lot like steps, car rides, even sentences. About 5 years ago I chose to go off of the medication because I no longer wanted that numb feeling in life, and would rather live each day as a struggle or challenge if you will, but still feel. This doesn't mean I am against medication for others as I know it is very helpful, and doesn't say that I myself may not go back to it someday, maybe as a mother or if things become tougher again. I just wanted to say that much, and to share to others that suffer from any sort of mental illness that I understand, and we are all in this together. That things can seem so real and the fear can seem so real, but its not, and we are strong enough.

"A day at Niki Schwan"
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Niki Schwan. Niki has had years in the fashion industry with expertise in trend forecasting, fashion consulting, and most famously celebrity wardrobe styling. In Los Angeles we are so blessed that Niki has graced us with a boutique of her own on Melrose Place. I stepped in and instantly felt more sexy putting on her handpicked items. With brocades, laces, sequins all around me and the aroma of lilies I was in heaven. Perhaps the best part was not just to try on these gorgeous pieces, but to be styled by Niki herself. Step into her world.
If you are in LA please visit Niki Schwan: 8428 Melrose Place Los Angeles CA 90069 or their website
